Summary
The Disclosure API enables participating CDP Software Providers to directly input responses to the CDP Response System, through an API, to support your disclosure journey.
Software Providers currently use their own software tools to capture data and perform necessary calculations for organizations disclosing to CDP, the Disclosure API reduces the reporting burden for organizations responding to CDP and increases the quality and quantity of disclosure. The API works across all CDP questionnaires and authority types. Before adding a Software Provider to your response please ensure you have read and agreed to the relevant section in the CDP Disclosure API terms of use:

Pre-requisites:
To be able to add a Software Provider to your response you must have completed and submitted the questionnaire setup for the current disclosure cycle. This can only be done by your Submission Lead.
Questionnaire setup can be accessed from the homepage within your Portal:
Important: if any changes are made to a Discloser’s requests, then the Submission Lead will need to re-complete and re-submit the questionnaire setup for these requests to be reflected in the data the Software Provider can access.
Granting access to a Software Provider
Access to a Discloser’s response is controlled by a relationship mapping between the Discloser and the Software Provider. This can be accessed from the Discloser’s ‘Team member’ page which can be opened by clicking ‘Invite team members’ in the left-hand navigation panel.
To select a Software Provider, click ‘Manage software providers’.
On this page you can see any existing Software Providers you are already connected with (if you have already added someone for this disclosure cycle) and add a new Software Provider.
You can also see you unique CDP API ID which your Software Provider might ask you to share so they can access your CDP Response. To add a new Software Provider, click ‘+ Add provider’:
On the ‘Add provider’ page you can see a list of available Software Providers to select from. You can also filter by using the search tool.
Once you have selected at least one Software Provider the ‘Confirm selection’ button will enable so that you can proceed.
If this is your first time adding a Software Provider during the current disclosure cycle, then you will be asked to confirm that you have the required authorization to provide external access to your CDP Response:
Once you have checked the confirmation checkbox, the ‘Add software provider’ button will be enabled.
If you have already added a Software Provider, then this will just show a confirmation of the selection you have made.
At this point the Software Provider will be added to your account and listed as a Software Provider on the main page:
Removing access to a Software Provider
If you decide to remove a Software Provider, then you can do this by selecting the trash/rubbish bin symbol next to the Software Provider’s name:
You will then be asked to confirm the removal:
Once you select the ‘Remove software provider’ option, the Software Provider will no longer have access to your response.
