How to import data into your questionnaire

  1. First, sign in to the Portal.

  2. Then navigate to your questionnaire response.

  3. Within the questions listed previously you will find the ‘Import Data’ button. Click this.

  1. Next in the ‘Import data’ popup, click ‘Download template (xlsm)’.

  1. The downloaded template will be an Excel document. Here, click ‘Enable editing’. The document will include the following tabs:
    1. Question text
    2. Response
    3. Options – DO NOT EDIT

  2. Navigate to the ‘Question Text’ tab. This tab will display the question number, text and accompanying help text.

  1. Next, navigate to the ‘Response’ tab. Here, write or copy/ paste your data into the columns provided.

Note: When copy/pasting values into the template, ensure that you select ‘Values (V)’ from the ‘Paste Options’ and do not edit the format of the excel template prior to importing. Please be aware that editing a column header (areas in dark grey) will result in the template not importing.

The tab ‘Options - DO NOT EDIT’ as shown below shows the allowed character limit and decimal places for a column. Please do not edit this tab, it is for guidance only.

  1. Once you have prepared your Excel template with the populated data, navigate back to the Portal and questionnaire response. Click the ‘Import data’ button once again within the relevant question and navigate to ‘Step 2: Upload completed file’.

  2. Select ‘Click to upload or drag and drop’ and then upload the file you previously populated.

  1. If successful, your data will be imported into the relevant question in your questionnaire.

  1. You can keep editing and importing your excel template as many times as necessary.

Please review your response before submission. Disclosers are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of their submission.
